About the series
P svenskaMost of it, with the very best.
Italian pianist Beatrice Rana returns – this time in Brahms’s magnificent Piano Concerto No. 2. And Canadian violinist James Ehnes is the soloist in Barber’s Violin Concerto – a breathtaking experience awaits. Yes, this series is brimming with outstanding soloists. You can also experience the opening of the autumn Composer Festival, dedicated to the 100-year-old Betsy Jolas, and visit the spring’s Beethoven Festival.
Young Austrian cellist Julia Hagen (pictured) makes her debut with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. Her playing is noted for its warmth and natural ease, and over the past year she has been a featured artist at the Musikverein in Vienna. Among her teachers is the legendary Heinrich Schiff (1951–2016).
